About the desk
Better questions before bigger bets.
Does It Make Money? is an independent publication that examines side hustles and small business ideas with current sources, visible assumptions, and a consistent score.
What we publish
Every investigation answers the same practical questions: What is the opportunity? What does it cost to start? How long does it take? What do the economics look like after real expenses? Who is it good for? And is the pitch supported by evidence or mostly hype?
We publish for US-based beginners and practical solo operators. Dollar figures use USD unless stated otherwise. Our scenarios illustrate how a business model behaves; they do not predict what a particular reader will earn.
Who writes the reports
Articles are published by the Does It Make Money? Editorial Team. Research and drafting may use automation and AI assistance. Every published report must pass our sourcing, math, structure, image, and build checks. We do not invent firsthand experience, interviews, revenue results, or credentials.
What we leave out
We do not cover multi-level marketing, gambling, adult businesses, illegal activity, speculative trading, or individualized legal, medical, and tax guidance. We may discuss ordinary business risk, but we do not sell certainty.
